New York to Dallas

Hello, my fellow readers! I have been busy reading again and I can't believe I have been away from it for so long. My husband on the other hand is not too thrilled. The most recent book I read and couldn't put down was J.D. Robb's, "New York to Dallas". I enjoy Eve and Roarke and the rest of the gang. This book was one of the best because she returned and faced her demons in Dallas. I like how J.D. Robb set the scene in Dallas. Eve had to struggle a lot through this book not only with personal issues but also with chasing down a killer. Thank goodness for Roarke being the husband that he is, was there to help her. This is a must read especially if you are looking for something other than romance. J.D. not only gives you romance but also murder and mystery!

Until next time...keep reading!!

Bella Terra Deception Series

Hello, my fellow readers! I have recently finished Christina Dodd's, 'Bella Terra Deception' series. This is the first series I have read of hers and I was not disappointed. I really enjoy how Christina tells a story and how the characters are very complex. It makes them real because everyone has an issue or a past they are trying to overcome. The series includes the books, "Secrets of Bella Terra", "Revenge at Bella Terra", and last "Betrayal". When I read a series I like to read from beginning to end however she makes it to where if you read the second or third book you will not be lost from missing the first one. That is something I think would be hard to do but Christina pulls it off. My favorite book of this series is the last one. Noah Di Luca is the youngest of the three and he seemed mysterious and out of place in the beginning two books. I was really looking forward to his story. Out of the brothers Rafe, Eli, and Noah, I think Noah was the most complex. I hope you enjoy this series as much as I do!

I also had the pleasure of meeting Christina Dodd last week at Katy Budget Books!

Until nex time...keep reading!

Feet First

Hello, my fellow readers! I read my first book by Leanne Banks, "Feet First". I liked the background characters in this book. The neighbor, Anna, and Marc's cousin, Justin. I hope that she continues their story in the other books for this series. Also Chad, Jenny's gay friend, was a fun character to read about. As for Jenny, the heroine, I enjoyed her spirit and personality. She was a people person and wanted to take care of others before herself. I really admired that about her. I admired Marc because he supported his grandfather. That made him easier to relate to instead of the stuck up vice president. Leanne made this book entertaining and I hope you will enjoy it as well!
