Red-Headed Stepchild

Hello, my fellow readers! I apologize for being gone for so long. I have not been reading as much since I started my new hobby, knitting. However now I am trying to manage my time between both of my hobbies. I finished Jaye Wells "Red-Headed Stepchild", a while back. I met her at the Readers and Ritas event that Fresh Fiction hosts once a year. I truly enjoyed the plot to this book. Sabina Kane is part vampire and part mage which is uncommon. She is truly the only one of her kind or is she? In this book it introduces all the main players including Adam a sexy mage who has contacted her to show her the use of her mage powers, a grandmother who is only out to protect herself, and Giguhl who is a demon sent to kill her however they end up becoming friends, Sabina would rather stab herself in the heart with an arrow laced with apple wood than admit that to him though. Sabina is a true 'Buffy the Vampire' type and someone I would rather be an ally with than enemy. I hope you enjoy this read as much as I did. I look forward to the other books in this series by Jaye Wells.

Until next time...happy reading!!
